Saint George
The Church of Saint George is an unadorned church without a dome, chandeliers, and hagiographies and until a few years ago without a bell tower that a devout Christian donated to the church. But its buoy was ringing very joyfully It is one of the three oldest parish churches in the village. In Chumeriakos there used to be three parishes: the parish of Christ the Master, the parish of St. George and the parish of Michael the Archangel.
The church was rebuilt in 1600 as the inscription on the top of the church door says: “The church of the Great Martyr George by John Syligardos and Papadia of his wife was built in the year 1600”.
