The church is a building of the 11th century and is a cruciform temple with a dome. It was hagiographed in the 14th century, but with time and the many interventions in the church, the hagiographies were destroyed and only the Pantokrator on the dome of the church was saved. A narthex was added to the church in the 16th century.
